LGBTQ+ History- June 21 at 10:15am
Dr. PJ Sedillo presents an engaging history of LGBTQ+ Pride in Albuquerque, tracing its journey from a small 1976 march to today’s vibrant celebrations. Drawing on his award-winning research, he brings to life the stories, struggles, and resilience of the local community over the past 50 years. All are welcome to come learn, reflect, and honor this important history together.
Support our Muslim Neighbors

Please sign the petition in support of the proposed Islamic Center in the North Valley. Recent events at the Planning Commission, along with acts of vandalism against our Jewish neighbors, remind us that religious freedom cannot be taken for granted. The proposed mosque and community center reflects the kind of investment in community life that strengthens our city. As people of faith, we believe every community deserves a place to gather, to pray, and to live out their life together. I hope you will sign the petition and stand with our Muslim neighbors in this moment.

Join us for a day-long community organizing training on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at RFK Charter School. This is a key opportunity to deepen your skills and understanding of the IAF model and to build momentum together.
Please register here: https://forms.gle/6QTn57wnw8db6ooK8
This immersive training will introduce the practices of broad-based organizing, a model with a long track record of equipping everyday leaders to work across differences, build power, and influence public decisions that affect our communities. You will learn how organizing strengthens institutions like congregations and schools, builds collective power, addresses root causes of injustice, and amplifies the voices of those too often left out.
The training will be offered in both English and Spanish. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided, and childcare is available.
Banned Closing Reception June 14 10a-1p

Come enjoy the Closing Ceremony of our “Banned” Art Show in the Pavillion. We’ve been privileged to have this art adorn our walls, and have welcomed many visitors from the community who have stopped by to view the pieces.
Do You Have a Problem with the Creed?

We held a two‑part forum series exploring the Nicene Creed, what it means to belong in Church, and what role belief can play in that belonging. Clergy lead a historically informed look at the language, the history, and the future(?) of the creeds. Both sessions are now available as a video on our Adult Formation page and on our Youtube Channel.
Off The Wall Art Show: Call for Art.

St. Michaels Artists are encouraged to donate a piece of ‘ready to hang’ art on Wednesday June 17th, 10:30-12:30. Art can be purchased and taken off the wall at any time, so if you want first dibs, come to the reception! After the reception, art may be purchased off the wall thru the office. All monies collected will go directly to the food pantry. Join us for the opening reception: June 19 6:7:30pm in the Pavillion

Food Pantry Registration Help: Tuesdays in July
In July, we re-register every participant in our Food Pantry. Especially that month we could use extra hands on deck for registration. Folks who are bilingual in Spanish would be a particular help, but all extra volunteers are welcome. Reach out to our office, or just show up at 7:30am on a Tuesday to help.
