Pauleta Hendrickson, Minister of Music
Picture

Pauleta Hendrickson is the new Music Director at St. Michael's. Pauleta has a long history as a church musician. Most recently she was Director of Music Ministries at St. Luke Lutheran in ABQ, where she planned and led rehearsal for adult and bell choirs, developed and led a children’s choir, created several virtual-choir videos, and created a “choral scholars” program, collaborating with UNM faculty to bring young singers to the church. She directed the High Holy Days choir for Congregation Albert, and collaborated with several interfaith communities for services and musical programs.
Pauleta was also Coordinator for Children’s Music at St. John’s United Methodist Church, including directing their summer music-art-theater program for elementary students. She plays a number of instruments and has a strong interest in sacred music. In fact, she just returned from a Hymn Society conference in Washington DC. Pauleta approaches her work as a minister of music helping musicians and the congregation create a sacred musical space together.
